Can I edit my form as a draft before publishing it?

Yes! Paperform's Publish feature lets you modify forms prior to making them live to your audience.

"Save changes" allows you to save changes as you edit your form.

There are several options under the down arrow next to Publish:

Options Menu for Form

Preview Changes

This will allow you to view the form as it will appear with the changes you’ve saved (but not yet published.) Keep in mind that this version of the form will not be active until the “Publish” button is clicked.

Go to live form

This option enables you to view the most recently published live version of your form.

Versions

This option allows you to revert to an older copy of the form.

Once you click this, you’ll see a list of previous versions of the form that were published, along with an indicator of which version is currently live.

If you’re unsure which version you’d like to revert to, you can always click the “Load as draft” option, which will load the earlier version into the editor. If the wrong version loads, you can try again until you find the right one.

Delete form

This option will allow you to delete the form. You will be prompted with a question, “Are you sure you want to delete this form?” prior to doing so.

Publishing Your Form

Once you’re happy with your changes and ready for the form to go live, click the Publish button.

You'll then be presented with three options:

Open

This option will open a new tab to view the published form.

Share

This option will bring up a link to your form that you can easily share on other platforms.

Embed

This option will give you scripts to use to embed your form on another webpage as an inline, full-screen, or pop-up. You can read more about embedding in our Embedding Guide.

Gotchas

  • If you customize the URL for your form under Details → Configure, you need to click Publish changes.  Otherwise, the new URL will re-direct people to Paperform’s home page.
