Welcome to our Employee Spotlight series! With each post, we'll introduce you to one of the talented and diverse individuals on our global team. You'll get a unique look at the people behind the company, learn what working at Paperform is really like, and find out more about our company, values, and mission. So far you've met Josh Cuneo, Alex Yoo, Andrew Fulton, and Jo Roque.
Say hello to Teal, our go-to person in the Accounts team at Paperform. She started out managing weekend support hustle, and now rocks her role with us, loving the work-life balance we champion. Off duty, Teal's into a bunch of cool stuff – think fermenting spicy hot sauce, whipping up baked treats, and even giving old chairs a new lease of life. She’s all about mixing work smarts with fun, hands-on hobbies.
My role at Paperform has evolved interestingly. I began by managing the weekend shifts on support, which was a unique and nerve-wracking way to start. Initially, I was always on edge about Pagerduty alerts. Now, I'm transitioning to the Accounts Team, and I'm thrilled about it! This shift also reflects Paperform's commitment to work-life balance, as I'm working split shifts to enjoy the midday sun and cater to our American customers in the evenings.
I was working toward registering as an Architect in Melbourne. The overtime unpaid hours are bad and it's hard to work remotely. The industry is also quite resistant to change, so it wasn't for me.
I knew it was a fantastic company with really human-centric policies and principles. I really needed that after the crazed world of architecture studios. I was also looking for a workplace that was flexible with how and where I worked, as I knew I'd be living in a few different places.
Bringing people back from work to life.
What I love most about working at Paperform is the satisfaction of helping people. Solving someone's problem and seeing their gratitude is incredibly fulfilling!
The good vibes. We are so chill, even while discussing complex issues. Everybody has a laugh, and we genuinely feel part of a close-knit team despite the thousands of miles between us. We hold conversations across time zones, we have each other's backs, and are really supportive of the continual (huge) learning process.
Paperform's culture is marked by a deep care for people, and a desire for the team to feel connected, supported, and valued. I love how dynamic the company is—it's responsive, and things change fast when they need to.
There are so many! But it has to be Calculations. They're mega-powerful, and I love getting my geek on.
All the quick integrations (Notion/Google Sheets/Airtable). The fact that they flow both ways still blows me away.
I love going for long walks, and I've gotten into fermenting—beer, pickles, and even hot sauce. Baking is another passion of mine, and I'm all about sewing and knitting too. My big project at the moment is re-upholstering some chairs, which is keeping me busy.
