Product Updates: October 2024 to May 2025

After radically increasing the velocity behind our product releases and opening up to Enterprise in 2024, I'm proud to say we've kept the pace up in 2025.

We not only went hard on solo features in the last eight months, we also entirely revamped Reports and Submissions to 10x your ability to extract and understand information.

Of course, AI was at the fore of our minds during product dev in all of this. We launched three new AI backed features to create quality forms for you. More on that in a moment.

And it's clearly making your work easier (win!) - in the last eight months alone our users:

  • Created 93 thousand new forms
  • Received over 31M submissions
  • Made over 65M in revenue (Paperform is brilliant for eCommerce)
  • Sent 20K documents to be signed
  • Documented 48K processes with Dubble

Our Big Three AI Enhancements

1. AI Form Creation

AI Form Creation allows you to make a form in seconds, and we've designed it to do the thinking for you - no more staring at a blank page wondering what copy or fields you need. Simply tell us what kind of form you want to create, we'll ask you the right questions to make the right form for you, and voilà! You'll get a form as simple or robust as you'd like in seconds. This isn't a one-hit wonder - this is a thoughtful and truly helpful leveraging of new technology that will seriously reduce creator frustration.

2. AI Insights for your Reports (your built-in Data Analyst)

No more digging through endless pages of data to analyze your respondents’ sentiments. With AI Insights, just ask you’d like to know, and let us do the thinking and speaking for you.

With AI Insights at your fingertips, you can ask more open-ended questions on your form. Instead of a dropdown with limited choices, switch to a text field and let your audience respond with their own words. This unlocks your power to gain qualitative insights at a quantitative level! Insights is available on Paperform Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans.

3. AI Calculations is a logic game-changer

Did you know Paperform is the only form builder with the "Calculations" field type, which allows you to combine Excel-style functions in a powerful way to manipulate, transform, format, and return values that are not otherwise possible using questions alone? Things like estimates, pricing subtotals, running totals, arrays, and outputs based on IF and SWITCH statements are in your power to create.

In short, you use robust form logic to do crazy, cool things.

We've added AI magic to create and update Calculations for you, so you don't have to be a super-nerd or wrack your brains to make extremely powerful form logic happen.

A Completely New Reporting UX

If you haven't checked out Paperform's reporting abilities in the last 5 months, you're missing out.

We've not only completely overhauled our Reports UI, but we've put some power-tools in there for you, especially when it comes to organizing, understanding, and presenting your data.

Professional Reports done for you in seconds

New Features for Reporting

Multiple reports: create, save, and copy multiple reports for each form. Each report for a form can have it’s own configuration, segments etc.

Data segments: split reports into different segments (a segment is a filtered slice of the overall data). Segments can be filtered by date range, any combination of question answers, or the submission score. For example you could create a segment for “This month” and another for “Last month”. You can then compare the results of all questions in each segment.

Report Sharing: you can now generate a public link for your reports that will enable anyone with the link access to a read-only view of your report. The shared link may be regenerated or disabled at anytime.

Report Scheduling: want to schedule reports to auto generate and send to you and your Team? No worries - you can now schedule reports to drop at specific times on recurring days.

Visualizations: No more lacklustre, half baked reports - we now support nearly every question type with insightful charts and graphs.

Reports UI Improvements

Text Blocks: add rich text segments to name different sections, provide helpful context, or highlight ownership - making your reports clearer and more personalized.

Question Sorting: re-order report questions using drag and drop, and add actions like downloading the submission as a PDF or Word document, re-running integration or webhooks, sharing direct links to the submissions, and more.

Remove/add question summaries: you're able to remove/add question summaries from a report for the ultimate control over what data you want to share and speak to.

Summary Labels: rename the labels of discrete submission answers in the report. Customize the labels for certain questions in your report without showing them to customers.

Side Navigation: we've moved the config menu from the top side for better control when editing, especially if you want to rearrange questions by clicking and dragging them.

A new Submissions UI to gain clear insights

We've brought you a new UI with an "inbox" feel, with tabs to access different pages (partial submissions, products, reports and analytics), filters to view specific question responses or search by keyword and date, and visuals to help you gauge your submission count over the last month.

We've also given you finer control of how you cut your submission data:

  • Select and export submissions individually or based on a date range (coming soon for partial submissions)
  • Copy a link to a specific submission to share it with someone on your team
  • Display what you want by hiding columns in the submissions table
  • Select a "title" field for submissions (like a name or email) to quickly and easily distinguish what you're looking at.
  • Copy data from your submissions to a clipboard in the inbox view

Other Major Product Updates

Publish Forms

Paperform's new Publish feature lets you modify forms prior to making them live to your audiences. This means that, rather than having your form auto update live to your audience while you edit, you can make changes in your own time and review before pushing the "Publish" button and releasing those changes to your audiences. NPS and Likert Scales for Surveys

Professional surveys are a click away with our new survey quick fields! Drop in pre-configured NPS or Likert scales with a single click. Your Papersign Templates

You can now designate copies of your Papersign docs as templates to ensure they stay unedited and prevent them being sent to signers by mistake. When labeled as a template, the document can't be sent directly. Instead, a copy is sent, and the template stays a draft, allowing you to edit and re-use it anytime. Some Fun Campaigns!

The Sponsor Games Inaugural Event

Last quarter, we got to hang out with the Creator Wizard team for the absolutely fantastic inaugural Sponsor Games event. On top of an incredible $25,000 worth of prizes, we awarded lifetime Paperform and Papersign accounts.

Seeing genuine, hardworking, and talented folks go head to head using our products is what it's all about for me. I believe in these guys, and I believe in what we build at Paperform. The $10K AI Vibe Campaign Experiment

We decided to give AI $10K to create and execute a marketing campaign for Paperform. Inspired by the "Vibe Coding" trend of early 2025, we wanted to see what AI would actually do if we didn't stand in its way and gave it some cash to get results.

This was a hilarious, interesting, and sometimes scary campaign that resulted in AI spending thousands of dollars and getting almost zero in return. But what it lacked in direct results, it made up for in masses of learning about what engages audiences and the upsides and pitfalls to running a business off the back AI's creative advice.
