How do I connect and configure a Stripe account?

Connect Stripe to Paperform

Go to Account Settings → Account Services and click the “Connect Stripe” button. Follow the prompts to either create or connect a Stripe account.

  1. Once you have connected your Stripe account you will have two payment accounts created, one in “Live” mode and another in "Test" mode. You can use "Test" mode to test your form and submissions with Stripe's test credit cards.
  2. You can choose which payment account you would like to use on a form by going to Configure → Payments and choosing the appropriate account.

Stripe Options

  • Authorize payment for future capture

    When enabled, the payment will not be charged immediately, instead it will be authorized, and can be processed or canceled later via the Stripe Dashboard.

  • Attach payment method to customer

    When enabled, the payment method will be attached to the customer for future payments.

  • Additional payment methods

    When set, the selected additional payment methods are offered to the person submitting the form. Note that there may be specific country or currency requirements associated with these methods. These methods cannot be used for subscriptions, and may not support authorized only payments.

Gotchas

  • The form must have a Price or Product field, or have Custom Pricing Rules enabled to take payments.
