Why aren't my form changes being saved?

Paperform has an autosave feature, which frequently saves a draft copy of your form as you work. You can also manually save by clicking "SAVE CHANGES" in the top-right. If your form fails to save, you'll see "SAVE FAILED, RETRY!" appear here in red.

The most common reason for changes to your form not being saved successfully is having multiple tabs open for the form editor. This creates multiple versions of the same form that override the others during auto-saves. To fix this, only have one tab or window open.

If you only have Paperform open in a single tab and you're still encountering issues, check your internet connection. You can keep the editor open while you reconnect, and your form will usually save again just fine once you're back online.

If the issue persists, consider publishing your form to manually save the current changes to the live form. You can always revert to previously published versions, so consider doing this regularly as a manual save if you're building a new form that isn't currently being used by your customers.
