How can I add images to my form with Unsplash?

You can easily insert beautiful stock images using our Unsplash Plugin. This article lays out the different ways you can add images from Unsplash.

Insert an Unsplash image into your form

Using slash commands

On a blank line, type "/unsplash" and select Unsplash from the dropdown menu.
  1. On a blank line in the form editor, type /unsplash and select "Unsplash" from the dropdown menu.
  2. A window will appear with some suggested images.
  3. Choose an image, or find a different one using the search bar.

Using action buttons

Select a blank line, click the Add picture icon from the popup menu on the left.
  1. In the form editor, click the line where you want to add an image.
  2. Click the "+" icon and then click the "Add picture" icon.
  3. This will open the image selection window. Select "Unsplash" and choose from the suggested images, or find a different one using the search bar.

Note: Once you have inserted an image, you can format and edit the image by clicking on it.

Editing Unsplash Images

After you've chosen an image from Unsplash, you can use our built-in image editor to crop it, adjust levels, or add annotations.

  • Images added to form content and Success Pages: Click on the image, then click the pencil icon in the popup menu to edit it.
  • Multiple Choice, Background, Cover Images, and Icon: Click on the image (in the "CHOOSE A FILE" area) to open the editor.

Where else can I use Unsplash images on the form?

You can also use Unsplash images for the following:

  • Multiple Choice options
  • The form Background
  • The form Cover Image or Icon
  • Dynamic Success Pages
  • Custom PDFs

Step-by-step instructions for each are listed below.

Multiple Choice Options

You can add an image from Unsplash to a Multiple Choice question option.

  1. Click on the Multiple Choice question to reveal the configuration panel on the right.
  2. Toggle on "Add images to the options," then click "Choose images."
  3. For each option, click "CHOOSE A FILE."
  4. In the image selection window, select "Unsplash" and choose from the suggested images, or find a different one using the search bar.

Background Image

You can use an Unsplash image as the background for your form.

  1. In the form editor, click the Theme & Appearance button on the right question panel.
  2. Click UI Elements → Background. Click "CHOOSE A FILE" under the Background Image heading.
  3. Under "Background Image", click "CHOOSE A FILE" and select "Unsplash."
  4. Choose from the suggested images, or find a different one using the search bar.

You can apply an overlay color, set the transparency and amount of blur on your image by scrolling down to the "Overlay" section in the Background tab.

Cover Image or Icon

A cover image will appear when you share a link to your form on social media. You can use an Unsplash image as your cover image.

  1. Navigate to Configure → Details.
  2. Click "CHOOSE A FILE" below "Cover image" and select "Unsplash."
  3. Choose from the suggested images, or find a different one using the search bar.

Icon

Users on specific pricing plans can add an Unsplash image as the browser icon for your form.

  1. Go to Configure → Details.
  2. Click "CHOOSE A FILE" below "Icon" and select "Unsplash."
  3. Choose from the suggested images, or find a different one using the search bar.

Dynamic Success Pages

On specific pricing plans, you can create custom success pages. You can add images from Unsplash to these pages.

  1. Add a new Dynamic Success Page, or edit an existing one to open the success page editor.

  2. Scroll down to "Submission Screen Design" and click on an empty line where you want to add the image.

  3. Click the "+" icon to the left of the cursor and click the "Add picture" icon. Below "Submission Screen Design" Click the Add picture icon from the popup menu on the left.

  4. Select "Unsplash."

  5. Choose from the suggested images, or find a different one using the search bar.

Custom PDFs

On specific pricing plans, you can create custom PDFs. You can add images from Unsplash to these PDFs.

  1. In the PDF Content editor, select the line on the page where you want to add an image.

  2. Click the "+" icon, then select the "Add picture" icon.

  3. This will open the image selection window with "Your Computer" selected by default. Select "Unsplash" and choose from the suggested images, or find a different one using the search bar.
