Papersign
Papersign has two pricing tiers: a Free plan that is limited to 3 signed documents per month, and a Pro plan at $24 per user/month with unlimited e-signatures, documents, and team members (with each additional team member costing $24/month).
Formstack Sign
Formstack Sign doesn’t have a free plan but offers a paid plan at a slightly lower price point of $20/month. The plan is limited to 1 user, however similarly to Papersign's Pro plan, you can sign as many documents as you want.
The main difference between the platforms is their access to features. Since Formstack Sign is a product of Formstack Suite, the 'Sign' product only allows you to e-sign documents. To create documents, you’d need to subscribe to Formstack Documents which starts at $110/mo.
Papersign
You can create documents by uploading a PDF document, by building your document directly within Papersign, or a combination of both. You can also use Papersign’s large library of pre-built Document Templates to get started.
You can mark up PDFs by simply clicking and adding fields, images and static content that can be dragged and dropped, resized and formatted to match your document. For documents created inside of Papersign, you can use slash commands to quickly insert fields anywhere inside your content.
Fields can be linked to specific information like the signer's name or business address so that they only have to enter it once when signing the document and have their changes reflected everywhere.
You also don’t need to worry about losing track of your contracts, proposals, and more. You’ll get instant notifications to monitor your document’s progress in real-time, and there’s also a simple dashboard to keep an eye on all of your documents at once.
Formstack Sign
Formstack Sign doesn’t let you create documents, unless you have an active subscription for Formstack Documents. Without Formstack Documents, you can only upload existing documents to collect signatures for, which is an easy and straightforward process.
To set up automated workflows and take full advantage of Formstack’s advanced capabilities, you’d need to use Formstack Suite which gives you access to all of Formstack’s products: Sign, Documents, and Forms.
Both tools comply with GDPR for data protection and UETA & eSign Act to eSign documents in the US. Both Papersign and Formstack Sign have also passed System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Audit which checks that the software and services are protected by one of the highest recognized standards of information security compliance in the world.
Papersign also complies with the ETA & ETR regulations for Australia, and eiDAS Regulation for customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, except for Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES).
Papersign
Papersign doesn’t yet have any third-party integrations but has a useful built-in integration with Paperform to tie together payments, scheduling, rich data capture, and signed documents in one place.
Formstack Sign
Formstack Sign integrates with Formstack Documents and Formstack Forms, as well as Salesforce and a few other tools.
Both platforms offer customer support via email and live chat, as well as a large section of Help Articles on their websites.
Formstack Sign may seem initially attractive with a slightly lower starting price, but its true value lies in using the entire Formstack Suite (including Formstack Forms and Documents) which starts at $79 per user/month.
Papersign offers a more cost-effective solution, and when combined with Paperform at $24/month, provides access to the same powerful tools as Formstack Suite at a fraction of the cost.
User-friendliness is a vital aspect, and this is where Papersign truly shines. Pre-filled document fields significantly speed up your document creation process, and features like Signer Delegation and Document Expiration Dates help make document signing effortless and efficient for both your team and clients.
Papersign has robust security measures to protect your documents and signatures. It complies with the technical requirements of several eSignature legislations in the US, EU, UK, Australia, and New Zealand to ensure the privacy of your information.
We also comply with GDPR and SOC 2 Type II so our software and services are protected by one of the highest recognized standards of information security compliance in the world.
Save time with Papersign’s built-in integration with Paperform and automatically trigger signature requests for your documents. Papersign is super smart, and can dynamically pre-fill your document with a range of known information to prevent tedious re-entry, keeping you ahead of the game and impressing your clients.
Close deals faster with branded, signature-ready contracts that are easy to set up and send out.
